When should we go to war?

Should our national government try to protect liberty in other countries, even if it doesn’t directly affect our country? How?

Does the national government have the right to impose trade sanctions, boycotts, and tariffs on other countries in order to defend our interests? If so, when?

Should the UN be considered a government that God has placed over us so that we should obey them?

What Biblical examples and principles can be applied to these questions?
